About DigiGirls 3.0
DigiGirls 3.0 is a program organized by the Cybersafe Foundation and funded by the Foreign Development and Commonwealth Office. Its goal is to help 2000 girls and women, aged 15-40, who live in underserved communities in Nigeria. The DigiGirls 3.0 program will improve their lives by teaching them useful digital skills to help them find jobs or start their own businesses.
DigiGirls 3.0 is a free program that lasts for three months. It provides training to women and girls on important digital skills, starting from basics and going up to intermediate levels. The DigiGirls 3.0 program aim to help the participants have better job opportunities, encourage them to start businesses using digital technology, and give them the skills they need to succeed in the digital world.
DigiGirls wants to make sure that women and girls in underserved communities have the chance to learn these skills and have better lives. The DigiGirls 3.0 program aims to close the gap between people who have access to digital technology and those who don’t, and it wants to empower women and girls to be successful in today’s digital economy.
Courses
In the DigiGirls 3.0 program, participants will first need to complete two required courses called Cyber-awareness and Soft Skills. These courses are important because they teach participants about online safety, communication, and how to work well with others.
After completing the prerequisite courses, participants can choose their specialized learning paths from the following options:
- Data Analysis: This course focuses on teaching participants how to analyze and make sense of data using computer tools and techniques.
- Digital Marketing: In this course, participants will learn about promoting products or services online through social media, websites, and other digital platforms.
- E-commerce: This course will teach participants about setting up and running online businesses, including topics like online selling, customer management, and payment systems.
- Graphics Design: Participants will learn how to create visual designs using computer software. They will explore techniques for designing logos, brochures, posters, and other digital graphics.
- UI/UX Design: This course focuses on the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design. Participants will learn how to create user-friendly and visually appealing digital interfaces for websites and applications.
While the training is open to women and girls across Nigeria, physical training sessions will only be available to selected participants living in Lagos and Kaduna. For those residing in other states or those who prefer virtual learning, there will be virtual classes conducted online.
Learning Modules
- Cybersecurity Awareness: This training focuses on teaching you how to protect your computer and personal information. You will learn about staying safe from cybercriminals, identifying cyber threats, and avoiding becoming a victim.
- Basic Digital Literacy: This is an introductory training that provides you with the essential skills needed to access information digitally. It covers the basics of using digital devices and navigating online platforms.
- Desired Intermediate Digital Skills: This training is led by experienced professionals, and you will have the opportunity to choose one of the following career paths:
- Data Analytics: Learn how to analyze and interpret data to gain insights and make informed decisions.
- Graphics Design: Develop skills in creating visual content for websites, advertisements, and other digital platforms.
- Intermediate UI/UX (User Interface/User Experience): Focus on designing user-friendly and visually appealing digital interfaces.
- Digital Marketing: Gain knowledge and skills in promoting products or services using digital platforms like social media and online advertising.
- E-commerce: Learn the fundamentals of online business, including setting up an online store and understanding customer behavior.
- Soft Skills & Entrepreneurship Skills: This part of the training is designed to enhance your professional capabilities in the workplace. You will learn important soft skills such as leadership, communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. These skills complement your technical knowledge and help you become a successful professional.

* Participants should be between 15 and 40 years old.
How to apply
To apply for the DigiGirls 3.0 Training Program, please follow these steps:
- Fill out the application form with accurate information. Note that the program requires a minimum commitment of 15 hours per week. If you choose virtual learning, you will need to purchase data plans for the 3-month training program. Additionally, if you opt for virtual learning, you should have access to or own a laptop. Please be aware that physical classes are only available for beneficiaries living in Lagos and Kaduna.
- After submitting your application, you will be directed to a response page with a link to an aptitude test. It is essential to click the link and complete the test to finalize your application.
- You will be required to write a Statement of Purpose within 250 words. Explain why you should be considered for the DigiGirls Training Program and highlight your motivations and aspirations.
- Complete the logical reasoning test to take the logical reasoning test. It is encouraged to complete the test as soon as possible to ensure your eligibility for the program.
- Submit only one application because multiple applications will result in disqualification. Make sure to review your application before submitting it.
