Apply now for the UK (DFID) IMPACT Program for Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia 2023. The UK IMPACT program is inviting innovators with bright ideas for investing in products, tools, and services that can address market barriers on system levels to increase the flow of distribution in capital to bring about global goals to Sub-Saharan Africa, and South Asia.

The accelerator is a 4-year program funded by the UK Department for International Development (DFID) and managed by Palladium in partnership with Enclude, Capital Advisory, and The Good Economy.

The accelerator program seeks to open the constraints stopping impact investing from scaling in Sub-Saharan Africa, and Asia. The program will help increase investment that will benefit the plant, the people, and the economies of Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. The program seeks to strengthen the investment sector and address the challenges in the social world as set by the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The IMPACT program funds will support the flow of capital from investors into business, then to underserved consumers, suppliers, and distributors in lacking geographies using innovative business models. The IMPACT Program funds are open to non-state actors, private sector companies, nongovernmental organizations (NGOs), civil society organizations (CSOs), research organizations, and trade and industry associations.

Eligibility and Requirements for the UK (DFID) IMPACT Program

  • Participants with a legal organization can apply for the
  • Participants with a commitment to sustainability will be considered particularly favorably.
  • Participants should have contributed and impacted systemic changes in the investing ecosystem in Sub-Saharan, and Asia.
  • Participants should have the potential of being selected before applying.
  • Participants should have proactive and inclusive measures for knowledge sharing with stakeholders in the impact ecosystem.
  • Participants who can avoid reputational risk to DFID, the IMPACT Program, Palladium, and The Good Economy are to apply.
  • Participant’s proposals concept should demonstrate and align with the system-level impact
  • Participants should be able to give prospective grantees and are required to demonstrate how their initiatives will become independent of the program and become embedded in the impact investing ecosystem.
  • Participants are to outline how stakeholders (local & regional), in Sub-Saharan Africa and or South Asia will be included in the design, implementation, and adoption of the proposed intervention.

What You Stand to Gain from the UK (DFID) IMPACT Program

  • Selected participants will receive for projects between £250,000 and £1,000,000.
  • Participants who submit compelling applications for grant amounts will be given exceptions that fall outside this range.
