The Women Techmakers Ambassador program is looking for passionate leaders in technology who want to make a difference in their communities. Ambassadors organize events, speak at conferences, create content, and mentor others. They receive support from Google and a community of ambassadors around the world.
The Women Techmakers is excited to invite you to participate in this year’s Women Techmakers (“WTM”) Ambassador program and look forward to collaborating with you.
About the Women Techmakers Ambassador program
Women in technology who want to make a difference and give back to their communities are supported by the Women Techmakers Ambassador program. You will interact with your community as an Ambassador by participating in one or more leadership initiatives every three months. Google and the greater Ambassador network offer help to ambassadors.
The Women Techmakers Ambassador program is creating a future where all women can succeed in IT. The Google Women Techmakers initiative offers tools, a network, and exposure for women in technology.
Eligibility
To become a Women Techmakers Ambassador, you should:
- Be 18 years old or older.
- Have at least 1 year of experience in organizing events, speaking at conferences, creating content, or mentoring others.
- Be genuinely interested in learning about Google technologies and further developing your skills.
- Be willing to actively participate in the program and dedicate a minimum of 10 hours per quarter to community activities.
Responsibilities and Opportunities
As an Ambassador, you will have the chance to engage with your tech community through the following activities:
- Organize Events:
Host meetups, power panels, or special events like International Women’s Day celebrations to educate, connect, and inspire your community. - Deliver Talks:
Share your expertise on various topics such as Google technologies, diversity, equity, inclusion efforts, or general well-being. - Create Resources:
Film videos, write blog posts, or develop custom code snippets to share your knowledge and contribute to the broader community. - Mentor Others:
Help empower the next generation of technologists by providing guidance, support, and mentorship to aspiring individuals. - Participate in program benefits including networking events, community building, and development sessions
